If you want to see a particular area of the city, a bicycle may be suitable. However, Sydney is a reasonably hilly city and many parts of it are not at all cyclist friendly. It is illegal for adults to ride bicycles on footpaths unless they are especially marked for cyclists or they are cycling with children under 12. Bicycle helmets are required by law, as are lights and reflectors at night.

Sydney Olympic Park now offers a great range of mountain, hybrid and children's bikes for hire including dragsters, choppers and cruisers, tandems and trikes.
Bike Hire @ Sydney Olympic Park is available 7 days a week from the Sydney Olympic Park Visitor Centre and at Bicentennial Park (near Lilies on the Park cafe).

We have a range of bikes provided at no cost to meet the needs of people with disabilities. Helmets supplied and prices are subject to change.
Please note: You will be asked to present your photo ID when hiring a bike and a security deposit of $100 is required (a credit card imprint or cash deposit is acceptable as security). Children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign the waiver form.
