Luxury Bike Seeks Well-heeled Buyer

A bicycle currently displayed in the BMW showroom in Oriental Plaza is grabbing more attention than the luxury cars surrounding it. Brought to Beijing from Germany, the foldable cycle with a price tag of 140,000 yuan ? is the only one of its kind in China.
Its handlebar and seat are made from highly expensive titanium alloy, and it is also equipped with sophisticated gears, a hydraulic brake and an ABS system.

Trainers of the official Beijing Bicycle Team said their most expensive cycle costs 70,000 yuan. Members of the public say the luxury bike could quickly become a target for thieves, even though it is lockable when folded.
