Things You'll Need
Steps

Step One
Take the allen key and loosen the the brake cable. There's no need
to take the allen bolt out all the way, just loosen it enough so that
the cable loosens.
Step Two
If your bike has cable length adjusters, reset them back so that
you can take up more slack later.
Step Three
Squeeze your brake pads against the rim, but place the Nickels in
between the rim and the brake pad.
Hold the brakes like this with one hand.
Step Four
With your other hand, take the allan key and tighten the clamp that
holds the brake cable.
Step Five
Do not overtigten the clamp, as it may fray or break the wire
cable.
Step Six
Release your brakes, and they should set to be exactly a nickels
width from the rim.
Step Seven
If your rim rubs at certain points, you may have to look up the
Wehow article about how to true your bicycle rims!
